The materials from which camouflage nets are made have specific properties, and it is precisely this specificity that enables them to be multifunctional both in terms of their basic purpose and in terms of providing adequate protection to the user.
Camouflage nets of the company PMD significantly reduce the possibility of detection of personnel and equipment. They can be used as temporary or semi-permanent protection for various types of tactical equipment and installations in the field. Thanks to features such as the camouflage print adapted to the ambient conditions, the matte surface of the net and the relief structure of the material, it is impossible for the adversary to be observed by visual devices, and the reduction of the radar reflection by damping and distorting the thermal image of camouflaged objects by producing an image similar to that given by the natural environment prevents and detection using radar and opto-electronic IC devices.
Given that the mentioned protection depends on the type of net selected and the required level of camouflage protection, the company PMD offers two types of nets to the market today: type A and type C.
Type A provides camouflage protection against detection in the visual and near IR part of the EM spectrum.
Type C provides camouflage protection against detection in the visual, thermal, near IR and radar part of the EM spectrum.
The nets can be produced as two dimensional and 3D nets. Depending on the needs of the user, we make camouflage nets in predefined dimensions of 3m x 6m, 6m x 12m, 12m x 18m for rectangular nets, but also in special dimensions at the end user’s request, such as hexagon, rhombus + dedicated for the object being masked.
The function of the nets largely depends on their correct placement. With each supplied camouflage net, our company also delivers instructions for simple and quick development and correct placement of camouflage nets through additional equipment that is an integral part of the set of camouflage nets.
